AN IMPORTANT THING TO KNOW
Anodisation is a fascinating process that enhances the durability and appearance of aluminum parts.
The aluminum parts are immersed in an acid electrolyte bath. An electric current is passed through th
e bath, causing a controlled oxidation reaction. This forms a thick, protective oxide layer on the surface of the aluminum.
The anodized layer can absorb dyes, giving the aluminum parts a variety of colors. We offer 14 different colors for all our alu parts.
This process not only improves corrosion resistance and wear properties but also allows for a range of aesthetic finishes.
If the color tone of two components has a small difference, it is not a defect. We explain why.
Let's take an example. You have chosen rim and cranks anodized in light blue. It may happen that there is a slight difference in the color tone between these two parts. This is not a defect, but is due to the difference in the type of aluminum (rim and cranks are both aluminum but are of different alloys), and from the anodizing process.
