if your unicycle is equipped with a single-wall rim, you might find these tips interesting:

  1. We place the tire on the rim, taking care that it is inside the edges on both sides.

  2. We inflate the tire to 0.6 - 0.8 bar (10-12 psi) and do the first set up (by pushing or pulling the tire with our hands we easily adjust its position). We keep the position of the tire under control, the tire must always be well centred on the rim, the reference line that almost all tires have on the whole circumference is a good help to centre the tire on the rim.

  3. Now we inflate the tire to approx. 1.2 bar (18 psi) and check again on both sides, that it is still in the right position.

  4. At this point we inflate it gradually up to the maximum pressure foreseen for the tire. During this phase we pay attention that the tire remains in position and does not come off the rim.

  5. Rim and tire have now settled. We check one last time that the lines are all "aligned" and bring the tire to the desired operating pressure.

Important: too low pressure can cause the tire to come off the rim.

By following these simple steps you should not have any difficulty in mounting the tire on the rim.
