We decided to propose Shimano's hydraulic disc brakesystems because they are very modular in braking, precise and of high quality. We do not claim that they are the absolute best, but experience tells us that they offer excellent modulation, ensure a reliable, consistent, stress-free braking performance and are well appreciated by a wide range of unicyclists with different braking styles. A WIDE RANGE OF SHIMANO DISC BRAKE SYSTEMS
There's a massive variety of performance across the spectrum we offer, from the first brake system we propose, good in what it does and comparable in quality to the disc brake systems you usually find on the best known mountain unicycles available on the market, to the more powerful ones, up to the 4-piston braking system, which offers excellent modularity and superior stopping power in all conditions, instilling great downhill confidence and control.
HOW TO USE THE BRAKE ON THE UNICYCLE
The brake on the unicycle is used differently from how it is used on the bicycle. The main purpose of the bicycle brake is to reduce the speed of the bicycle or to prevent it from moving. On the unicycle, the brake is used to regulate speed and to keep control when riding downhill even at high speed. It is therefore easy to get used to "keep on pulling the brake lever" even just with light pressure, on long down-hills. This light and prolonged use of the brake is a mistake that can cost you.
DISC BRAKE WITH 2- OR 4-PISTONS BRAKE CALIPER?
The Shimano brake systems Deore M4100 and M6100 are now available in four-piston versions, too. It features the same tech as the two-piston version and looks nearly identical to the rest of Shimano's four-piston brakes, but it’s not the same. Mo´power mo' modulation are the main advantages you get from this new version.

La finitura della Base e della MAD-Extension la puoi realizzare tu, in base alle tue idee e al tuo progetto, perchè LIBERTA' è anche questo.
La base corta viene prevalentemente usata per le selle URBAN (cuscino centrale, maniglia libera anteriore e posteriore), ma ci sono diversi estimatori anche della versione corta con cuscino completo. La base corta è stata la prima ad essere realizzata e pensando all'uso Urban non è particolarmente sottile al centro (80mm) mentre sia la media sia la lunga hanno subito un processo di affinamento che in tre lotti prodotti ha visto la base stringersi di 12mm rispetto alla base corta.
LA HANDLE SADDLE PER IL MONDO URBAN
La Handle Saddle è nata per il mondo Urban dove la sella è usata principalmente con le mani e dove la presa veloce e sicura sono un plus importante.
Il doppio loop aperto con il grip ha lo stesso diametro di un manubrio da bicicletta ed ecco il nome Handle Saddle ed offre una possibilità di gestione della sella che le altre selle non possono offrire.
Con le selle Urban la comodità di seduta è ridotta al minimo.

TRIAL
Abbiamo realizzato due versioni. Una dedicata al TRIAL dove, oltre alla robustezza e maneggevolezza è molto importante è la leggerezza. La Handle Saddle versione TRIAL è la più robusta e leggera del mercato.
FLATLAND e STREET
La Handle Saddle per Flatland e Street pesa 100 gr in più della Trial perchè abbiamo aggiunto una zavorra di centraggio per garantire una rotazione bilanciata e stabile durante l'esecuzione di unispin veloci. Il cuscino di questa Handle Saddle è ca. 3cm più lungo della versione Trial.

LA HANDLE SADDLE CON CUSCINO INTERO IN PELLE
Successivamente abbiamo realizzato le selle con il cuscino intero dove la comodità di seduta è uno degli aspetti a cui abbiamo dato maggior attenzione.
Non tutti usano il monociclo nello stesso modo e non tutti hanno la stessa forma anatomica.
Per adattarsi alle diverse esigenze abbiamo realizzato sia un cuscino stretto sia uno più largo, anche gli intagli di scarico della pressione sono differenti.
Questi due cuscini possono essere montati su tutte le basi in alluminio.
In futuro avremo dei nuovi cuscini e una base corta più stretta con diversi cuscini pensati sia per il freestyle sia per l'hockey ... ma questo è solo un progetto che speriamo di realizzare nei prossimi anni.

Usata prevalentemente senza freno va bene per muni e strada su percorsi non impegnativi.

La Media è la regina del Muni perchè permette un tenuta della sella molto sicura ed un uso del freno laterale che è più facile.
Chi è abituato ad azionare il freno dal davanti dovrà cambiare abitudine, ma gli sforzi iniziali saranno ripagati da un aumento della sicurezza e delle possibilità, non vorrete più tornare alla sella tradizionale.
La sella Media con grip in silicone e senza freno è molto interessante nel race dove la possibilità di tenere saldamente la sella contrastando le oscillazioni laterali permettono un aumento della velocità soprattutto in curva.
Naturalmente chi è abituato con la sella tradizionale avrà bisogno di un periodo di allenamento specifico per imparare ad usare al meglio la Handle Saddle nel race.

The pommel is attached to the Handle Saddle handle with laces. It is a small accessory to prevent you from "sliding" forward on the saddle while riding. This often happens when we pedal without keeping our weight properly on the saddle. We will acquire the right posture with time and practice, but until then, if it helps, we can mount the saddle pommel on our Handle Saddle.
